I for one hope that the election of Barack Obama will help end the "reverse racism" in this country. If a black person doesn't get a job (e.g. Turner Gill and the head coach job at Auburn), there are idiots (Charles Barkley) that immediately say it's because of race. I, as a struggling white male, hope that the election of Obama will end the real racism in our country... racism found in job ads where "minorities are encouraged to apply." I for one have NEVER been encouraged to apply for anything, and when I do, half the time a minority with obvious less credentials gets amazing opportunities that I never got... full rides to college with lower SATs/ACTs than me... yet to pay for college, I work three jobs. Not one, not two, but three. Oh, and I have a mountain of student loan debt too. Yet, my minority friends with lower scores lower grades, lower everything get the red carpet rolled out for them because of the color of their skin.

So here's to Barack Obama. May I never hear the words "affirmative action"
strong>>again.

Here is the response that I sent to my Cousin:

Hmmm...where do I begin?????
1. Are they really his friends if he thinks so little of them?
2. He's never been encouraged to apply for job. Um...well have you ever been denied the opportunity to even think about applying for a job because of the color of you skin?
3. Why does this fucker say with obvious less credentials as if being a minority (in which we as a collective are the majority) is automatically associated with "less credentials."
4. And even if they did have "less credentials" that doesn't matter. People don't want to work with pompus assholes who know everything before they are taught it. Maybe the "less credentialed (i made up a word) minority had people skills or a willing to learn or was just nicer.
5. Lower Sat/Act scroes doesn't mean you're dumb. I didn't score as high as I would have liked but I know that I am smarter than most White people put together. Of course white kids in white schools funded by property taxes will score higher because the schools cram the test down their throats from the first day of the school. Those kids aren't necessarily smart, they just have mastered the are of testing. While our government funded schools are more concerned with everything else but teaching the test or even basic skills.
6. Who told this dumb fuck to go to an expensive school. And since he's soooo smart why didn't he have scholarships. You're smart and went to a slightly inexpensive school on scholarship, which I'm sure wasn't just for minorities so he's just a dumb ass.
7. Who cares that he works three jobs. Um...school isn't free. Stop complaining.
8. Yes, people may not get jobs because of other factors than race, but a lot of times that one factor is extremely important. They judge us on the fact that we are black and then everything associated with that becomes something we have to "downplay." Our natural rhythm, our comfortable, loose dress styles, our Hair (don't even get me started). All of these things which have nothing to do with our ability to do the job but little Johnny can have a long ponytail and get the job but Hakeem, staying true to his roots and himself with braids or locks must make that unavoidable change (cutting one's hair and getting a fade) to get accepted by corporate America (accepted because of quotas and not looking bad, not respected or wanted). And if Keisha wears her hair unstraightened then she is making a political statement. When did my hair growing naturally out of my scalp become a fucking political statement.

THE DICK who wrote this needs to STFD and STFU

ANY THOUGHTS??????????
